BioHealthy Homes is a company that creates, designs and builds fine quality natural homes. Owners, Scot Appert and Caroline Bearss, work with you individually to design the home of your dreams. We help you select the type of ecological design you want and the natural building materials to be used. With our guidance, you customize your home by choosing the type of frame, wall systems, finishes and flooring, alternative energy systems, heating and cooling, lighting, water conservation systems and roofing.

As Building Biologists, Caroline and Scot design buildings using leading -edge Ecological Building Science and Bau Biologie principles. Energy efficient homes can be very toxic environments for occupants and can lead to the development of Sick Building Syndrome and allergies. So while we create homes that are energy efficient and healthy for the environment, they are also healthy to live in.
Bau biology is the science of creating a healthy eco system in a building. Air quality, minimal electromagnetic radiation, breathable materials that naturally clean the air and moderate humidity, and use of natural flooring and finishes that create healthy acoustics are all part of the overall considerations that go into the creation of the homes we build.
In addition to our building company we conduct healthy building seminars and provide consulting services to architects and developers. Biohealthy Homes offers healthy building inspections and consultations for homes, offices, public buildings and schools.
For existing buildings, BioHealthy Homes provides design consultation and renovations. We also retrofit older homes for energy efficiency and comfort.
